Sungulwane Lodge is located in the impressive Munyawana Conservancy, a pioneering conservation initiative established in 1994. It spans over 30,000 hectares and integrates several private reserves creating a vast, contiguous habitat for wildlife. In 2018, Sungulwane dropped its fences and joined the conservancy, this collaboration marked a significant shift from fragmented farm lands to a unified approach to conservation. It embarked on a ambitious program to restore its ecological balance and biodiversity through the successful reintroduction of Big Five and other endangered species such as Lions, Black and White Rhinos and Cheetah. Visiting Sungulwane Lodge is to be immersed in pristine, restored wilderness, integrated with wildlife, humanity and the endeavors and successes of conservation.
